Jacob Kassay

This project with Jacob Kassay uses a pre-existing book as it's starting point and eliminates all of the printed information within. Printed in an edition of 1000, the original book is a title-less publication produced on occasion of Kassay's 2011 exhibition at the ICA London. The remaining unsold copies of the edition re-enter the printing process as support, using black ink to redact the books' original text and images.

For the special edition, the same information has been removed from the original publications by hand. Left as unbound sheets folded in half, the pages are placed back into order in a custom portfolio.
