303 Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new work by Tim Gardner. In his latest body of work, Tim Gardner continues his commitment to highlighting the dissonance between human and landscape. In these new paintings Gardner has moved away from exploring landscape as a backdrop for human activity and instead portrays scenes devoid of human presence. Perhaps a reflection on isolation during the pandemic, here Gardner depicts evidence of human life without showing the form directly. Abandoned police bikes, picket fences, and distressed horses recur throughout these new works, alluding to life just outside of frame. Gardner stages these pieces alongside watercolors of flowers and gardens, shifting the mood of the room and providing an air of renewal to the show.
